We have received just over $14,000 to date to help support WDXD Radio. I thought I would share with you our goals for 2016.
Having
spent about $28,577 to build the station, we have raised about half the support needed financially to pay for it. There is
a remaining $13,000 loan to pay off which was for tower construction.
Our stream has been offline since Jan. 31, when
provider Live365 went out of business and closed down. I estimate it would require $2800 to relaunch a stream. This includes
$1700 to direct license and $99 a month for stream hosting. i would also need one desktop computer to be dedicated for streaming.
If there is support for this, I am happy to consider it. However, it is more than I can afford to pay out of pocket. So any
relaunch would need to be financially supported by the community or underwriters in order to take place.
I would like
to purchase an additional LPFM transmitter so that we have a backup system. This would cost somewhere in the $3000 to $3500
range. I have been pleased with our Nicom NT350 transmitter so far. But a backup transmitter would be a good thing to have
in the event of equipment failure.
We have had two equipment failures: a 10 year old Numark dual CD player and a 12
year old RCA dual cassette deck. Neither is super critical but I do plan on replacing them. A bew CD deck repacement, a Stanton
C502, is on back order.
On Saturday, March 5, I plan to paint the radio building on the front section. Our sign is here
and is ready to be installed as soon as we can get it done.
Delta Star Radio is a registered 501(c)3 non profit organization,
so your contributions may be tax deductible. We would like to raise at least $15,000 up to a maximum of $50,000 this year.

All
your support is very much appreciated. All contributions go directly to station funding as I take out no salaries or administrative
fees. Our goal is the best radio product possible.
