Effective Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, you can now hear our stream via phone. The number is (712) 432-4211. This is a simulcast
of our Live365 stream.
We have had a pledge of an additional computer to add to our audio chain. This computer will
be used to feed our local WDXD programming in Tallahassee to the Live365 stream. We now offer 40 hours a week of locally hosted
programming, with more to come.
This service is being made possible by Telecurve, LLC.
Paul Glimmer has joined WDXD as of Monday, Oct. 12 and will host the morning slot weekdays from 7 to 9 am. Paul has worked
in radio in several markets and I am delighted to have him on air at WDXD.
A lot of things are happening this fall. Here's a quick rundown:
A new Emergency Alert System) (EAS) unit has been ordered and should arrive in early
October. This Gorman- Redlich box is more up-to-date and is CAP compliant. It should be easier to use than the older TFT unit.
A
new three page brochure is in the works. These will be widely distributed around Tallahassee, especially within our coverage
area.
A new computer is needed to add our local programming to the Live365 stream. Please consider making a financial
contribution to help with the cost, if you are able.
A new phone system has been purchased, allowing the (850) 877-4641
number to ring through to the control room. This number will double as station business and request line for now. I can't
justify the expense of a second line.
I am working on website updates and changes.
Total expenses to buid WDXD:
$28,577.81
Total income received as of Sept. 30: $13,719.53
Total sponsors: 46
Amount needed now to
break even: $14,857.88
